Categories not importing

Hello!

I’m using version Version 3.3.5 of this plugin and the most recent version of WordPress (4.7.2). When I upload products, all the fields import successfully except for the categories field. Regardless of what I put into that field, all categories are ignored.

For the sake of experimentation, I’ve tried both entering the category and subcategory together, and just a single one-word category alone. I’ve tried having the category created in WP at the time of the import and not. I’ve checked the permissions and tried getting rid of all special characters, including spaces.

Any idea what is causing only the categories field to be ignored?
