categories missing in post writing screen

    I no longer have the option to select a post category in the “new post” screen. Also, in the “post” menu I have no “category” menu item.

    Existing posts still retain their assigned categories, and template tags can still display them…just can edit existing post’s categories or add a category to new posts.

    I don’t want to convert my cats to tags, they are not the same thing.
