Hey guys, I have some links on my header and they keep getting messed up whenever I’m browsing categories.

For example, when I click on “Category A” to browse posts under that category, the links on the header link to /categories/Link A instead of just /Link A. It works fine in archives and in any page, except when I’m browsing categories, and as a result I get a 404.

Any way around this? Thanks. I’m using this theme btw: https://5thirtyone.com/grid-focus

  • Hi,

It seems that there is an issue due to theme..try to change the theme to default one and check with the header and categories..

    Thanks,

    Shane G.

I’ve made extensive alterations to the theme. If I change it to a different theme, will all those modifications be erased?

    No.

But read WordPress Backups and backup both your files and database…then you have insurance for making changes you want to revert.
