• Hopefully someone can help, since updating to WordPress 3.4.1 and also some plugins, my site is no longer functioning as it was.

https://bit.ly/JKzRQG is my site, and if you try to call Blog, General or Weddings in the Menu bar, it returns ‘No Results Found The page you requested could not be found. Try refining your search, or use the navigation above to locate the post.’

The test of the menu ‘links’ are working correctly, only the ones that are created from the Categories are not.

I have deactivated all the plugins that I could and still it does the same. I have even restored a back up of the database to no avail.

Any help would be great as I really need the site working correctly.

    Allan

If I do that, will it not show up in google searches?

    Add //first

That was the only reason I put the bitly link in, it still goes to the site.

That was the only reason I put the bit.ly link in, it still goes to the site.

    Review the .ly history….

Hmmm ok I just went through all the plugins again one by one, it was WordPress SEO that was causing the issue.

Will have to see whats going on there as I really need that plugin

Sea coast, next time suggest the master list before asking for the URL ?? while it’s silly, I feel, to try and hide your URL from searches (eventually your SEO would be such that the WP forums won’t show up until someone searches for your keywords + WordPress), it’s easier to toss ’em there first.

WordPress SEO has no known conflicts with WP at this time. Make sure you’ve upgraded your plugins and themes. Also try a different theme incase it’s a theme+plugin issue.

Tggupta, please make your own topic ?? We prefer it here.

Is there a WordPress Plugin for manners and attitude issues?

Evidentally there is an issue with WordPress SEO and the category feature when upgrading to 3.4.1 which I have now sorted. It may help in future posts where you are helping or offering advice not to be so smart and obnoxious, mine was a simple query!

There is an issue with the stripping of the category base in the URL, anyone else with the same issue, go to the permalinks page on SEO untick the strip the category box if it is selected, save settings, and then go back and retick the box and save again if you were using this before.

A little more helpful than the obnoxious know it all above

    @ipstenu,

Yah, it is probably easier than reading through post after post and trying to decipher what the OP may or may not have been trying to achieve.

Thank you, ruralscotland. Your solution worked for me.
