Categories managment

    Your plugin is very interesting but there is a functional restiction.

    We have at least 50 libraries of 30 categories per library on our website. It’s very difficult for a user on the submission page to select the good categories among 1500 categories.

    It would be nice to have the ability to link caterogies to a library by having a meta categorie rather than to selecte a list of categories or exclude a list of categories for every libraries.

    is there a way to do that or do you think that could be done for a next version

    Category hierarchies is something I am considering adding support for in newer versions (6.0 and up), which I am currently developing.

    That being said, instead of working through a scroll list of categories, you can configure Link Library to enter numerical ID codes for the categories to include or exclude (Category selection method set to Comma-seperated ID list in General Settings).

    With this approach, you could much more quickly select the 30 categories that below in a library by ID.

    Just to let you know, I’m also interested in category hierarchies. On my website sinnerman.org I collect amongst others links. I categorize them in different ways. An article about Amazon is categorized in the month it is published, but Amazon also has its own section and sometimes it is added to a third section, the business section.

    My current set-up is far from ideal and difficult to maintain, some kind of parent-child category structure would be helpful.
