Categories losing assigned links

  • Hi,

    I have just noticed on many WordPress installs that link categories have lost their assigned links.

    Basically if I click on ‘links’ in admin it shows me the links but only some are assigned to categories when all were before then if I click on ‘categories’ under links section it shows the categories and the number of links for each one are correct. Say for example one has 6 and I click on the number 6 it shows only 1 link.

    It’s quite strange because it varies on different sites, e.g. on 1 site 1 link without a category but on another there are 10 links without a category.

    These sites were all recently upgraded to 3.3.1 but I’m not sure if the problem existed before that. I am now manually reassigning links to categories but some I’m not sure what category they belonged to before, I’m going to try and trace this in the DB…

    Has anyone heard of this issue?
