Categories html bug when editing/creating a product

    A few weeks ago I created a new WP installation and installed WC just to have a sandbox where I could play around refresh myself on the latest version of WC.

    Everything was working fine and I created two test products without any issues. Today I went to add another product and I see there is a bug which is displaying html where the categories are, for example:

    Instead of showing the category “Uncategorized” it shows “<div>Uncategorized</div>”, and it does this for all categories.

    As far as I can tell everything else is working fine, and as it is only on a test site of mine it’s not a real emergency, but if it was happening on a clients website it would be an issue I would need to fix asap.

    It would be nice to know if there is a solution out there.

    The main Categories page in the backend has no issues as far as I know.

    My description of the issue is clear and accurate, and asking for a screenshot seems like an unnecessary and bureaucratic step.

    Thank you for reaching back with further details on the issue. While inspecting the store’s System Status Report (SSR), it appears that the WooCommerce database needs updating:

    Kindly head to WooCommerce > Status > Tools and click on the related button for updating it.

    Furthermore, since I could not replicate the issue on my end, I suggest disabling all other currently active plugins (except WooCommerce) and see if the issue persists.

    Gut feeling: this is a plugin/theme conflict, thus re-enabling them one-by-one will make apparent which one is the culprit. Otherwise, switching to Storefront theme first, should rule out the possibility that this is a theme conflict.
