Hm. I’m not sure what you’re referring to with regard to “your firewall”. Your firewall where, and “to add in links” where?
Are you saying that your computer’s firewall was preventing you from adding links into the WordPress Control Panel which resides on your site at your web host?

Here’s an update…I can see the categories on my laptop, but not on my other PC.

sometimes you just gotta keep refreshing or pressing save and continue editing until you get the category menu
