Categories Duplicating – Can’t Delete

  • Hi – When I add categories I’m getting the same category added about 6 times. I had to delete the extras from the database, but they were all added to my posts multiple times. I also can’t delete a category from the post edit screen. It pops back after the save. I’ve tried switching to the default theme, deactivating all my plugins, and reinstalling WP. Nothing has helped.

    Thanks for your response. I finally gave up and deleted the database and started over. My hosting service couldn’t figure it out either.
