• So I bit the bullet and signed up for Blubrry and successfully migrated all of my episodes over. Good for me.

However, first thing I noticed is that the categories did not automatically populate on each episode. Seriously? I’ve gotta go back and manually update each one? (I need this for stats otherwise it’s useless).

I realize there is a feed import for categories but when I initially tried to do it, it did not work at all. So I went with the migration option which did work. When I go back and try the import category feed it shows they’ve already been migrated; just not assigned to any category (as per the PowerPress listing options under each post).

I also noticed the artwork for each episode does not show up in the player despite being embedded in the mp3. The more I read up on this, the more it appears that your category artwork is the only thing that will show up, not the original artwork embedded into each episode. That’s kind of pointless.

Which leads me back to the original issue I had prior to signing up. The individual category artwork does not update even when I upload it through your interface and it adds random numbers to show it’s different. It still keeps picking up my main logo for the iTunes category feed.

I got this to work by going back to the 6.* version and it works as it should. Apparently, when I switched back to the 7.* version it swapped everything back to my main logo.

It’s bad enough that whoever I’ve been dealing with at iTunes does not know how to setup a provider page but this is really just adding insult to injury. I don’t even know why I bother.

For now, I’ll switch back to my original player, which is a subtle rework of your original that isn’t as stark and switch back to the 6.* version so I can hopefully get someone different at iTunes that knows how to setup a provider page and doesn’t leave out any channels.
