Categories Box missing from review post type

Hi, I recently changed to a new theme, MovieScope, on my site. Everything is fine, except my review posts do not have the “categories” box that typically comes with the side post panel where the tags and featured image boxes are. There are three post types to the theme: News, Trailers and Reviews. Both news and trailers come with categories, but for whatever reason reviews doesn’t. Is there a way to add categories to the review post type?

I tried getting help from the theme author, but all he sent me was an entire new review plugin that had me creating a new template, and it nearly ’caused my head to explode. It’d be nice if I could get help from someone that assumes me as just the writer that I am and not Mark Zuckerberg or Steve Wozniak. Thank you for your help.
