Categories and gallery view

Hello,
I’m new to Career Portfolio and have just installed your premium version. I have a few basic questions – how can I use the categories filter to categorise my individual projects? I want to use this as an overall navigation at the top of the page, then below this, when one category is selected, for all images within that portfolio project to display as a gallery. Is this possible? Please come back to me urgently. Thanks!
