• I spent the first month or so using my blog without setting up and categories. Consequently everything’s filed under ‘General’. I’ve now set up some categories and would like to move some of the posts to new categories. Unfortuantely I can’t see how to do this.

Sorry, that first sentence should read “…setting up any categories.”

You have to edit the posts to change the category; I’m pretty sure I saw a hack or plugin that will let you batch edit posts, but I can’t remember where it is, so you’ll want to search for it.

In your admin panel when you edit each post you can assign the category there. Simply click it off of general and check the category you want it to be in.

Or use this one if you have quite a few to do:

Thanks. First thing that I tried was editing the post, but I couldn’t see the checkboxes. Now that I look again I can see them clearly. I was on a different computer at the time though, running with a lower screen resolution. All that I can think was that it was something as simple as the checkboxes being off the edge of the screen.

    Whoops
