Catch Everest homepage not translating
-
Greetings,
Thank you for your plugin. I installed Polylang earlier this week and found it to be simple and intuitive. But now I am stuck on my homepage, which will not translate.
Theme is Catch Everest Pro, whose homepage settings are set as theme options, i.e. not as a created page. Language in Polylang is set from content.
Strings translation is showing correctly for the theme options – homepage_headline, homepage_subheadline, homepage_featured_title, homepage_featured_content, etc.
The Catch Everest theme has a self- generated wpml-config.xml file with options as follows:
<wpml-config> <admin-texts> <key name="catcheverest_options"> <key name="search_display_text"/> <key name="more_tag_text"/> <key name="homepage_headline"/> <key name="homepage_subheadline"/> <key name="homepage_featured_headline"/> <key name="homepage_featured_url"> <key name="1"/> <key name="2"/> <key name="3"/> <key name="4"/> <key name="5"/> <key name="6"/> <key name="7"/> <key name="8"/> </key> <key name="homepage_featured_title"> <key name="1"/> <key name="2"/> <key name="3"/> <key name="4"/> <key name="5"/> <key name="6"/> <key name="7"/> <key name="8"/> </key> <key name="homepage_featured_content"> <key name="1"/> <key name="2"/> <key name="3"/> <key name="4"/> <key name="5"/> <key name="6"/> <key name="7"/> <key name="8"/> </key> <key name="featured_image_slider_link"> <key name="1"/> <key name="2"/> <key name="3"/> <key name="4"/> <key name="5"/> <key name="6"/> <key name="7"/> <key name="8"/> </key> <key name="featured_image_slider_title"> <key name="1"/> <key name="2"/> <key name="3"/> <key name="4"/> <key name="5"/> <key name="6"/> <key name="7"/> <key name="8"/> </key> <key name="featured_image_slider_content"> <key name="1"/> <key name="2"/> <key name="3"/> <key name="4"/> <key name="5"/> <key name="6"/> <key name="7"/> <key name="8"/> </key> </key> </admin-texts> </wpml-config>
I have read several posts surrounding the same topic, including . While that topic was not conclusive, the problem seems to have been solved on the poster’s website, , which uses the same Catch Everest theme as I am using.
I could give a link to my site if it would help, but I would need an email address to give you access as the site is not yet live.
Thanks for any help you may be able to give!
