Hello, I’m using v.1.0.9 of your Backup Migration plugin on a WP site (dev).

I set up a second WP site, (dev2), install Backup Migration there also.

I then make a full backup of (dev) using the Backup Migration 1.0.9 plugin. I run into a CLI problem, which I’ve run into before, and fixed the problem as I’d been instructed previously (by inserting “define( ‘BMI_CLI_ENABLED’, false );” into my wp-config.php file). The backup completes successfully.

I download the backup zip file. Then use Backup Migration on the second site (dev2) to upload and restore. Backup Migration goes through its process, then tells me the restore was successful. Upon reload of the site’s admin panel, however, the page could no longer be accessed. Nor can I display the site from any web browser I use on my PC (Chrome, Brave, Edge, Mozilla).

If you can help me figure out what when wrong and how to fix this I’d be much grateful. I have another site I have just completed that needs to be migrated to its live host in a week or so, and would like to know that I can use Backup Migrate to do so, as I’ve been able to do in the past. Thank you very much for all assistance.

    Hi @davvvy

In the next release we focused on PHP CLI improvements.
We’re planning to release v1.1.0 this week.

The main parts that will be improved:
    – Completely separated process during restoration.
    – PHP CLI database backup.
    – New database backup & restore engine.

Not sure what you’ve done on your site in the last 2 hours since you post the topic, but I can access both of your sites without white screen.

If you white screen please enable WP Debug and WP Debug Display.
This will show us what’s going on and we will be able to adjust that ??

Notice: Please remember that you can migrate site in parts, i.e. Files then Database – in most of such sites, it works much better.

If you already know if your destination live site host allows PHP CLI I think you don’t have to worry at all ??

Also, once you decide to move it we can also help you with the migration itself if it fail.

Feel free to contact us via email: [ support (at) backupbliss dot com ]
Our technicians will go through the process with you.

    Thank you!

As we didn’t hear any reply in last days.
I can assume that you resolved the issue.

Feel free to open new topic if I am wrong!
    Thank you ??
