Catalog with subsections

  • Hi WP mates,

    I searched in Google but I haven’t find any interesting information.

    I’d like to create a catalog of product, with subsections, i.e.:

    accessories > handbags > cuir
    accessories > handbags > plastic

    accessories > backpacks > street
    accessories > backpacks > mountain

    I think that WP should have some themes and/or plugins to do so.

    Did someone create a catalog with WP? Or have I to choose other CMS?

  • I dont have any experience with a catalog in WP but there are probably plugins for it. Just Google. You could also look for a webshop module and just delete the price and cart part. If you really can’t find any, you could always switch to Joomla. The ‘DJ catalog 2’ module is a free catalog module that is easy changeable.

    I’ve just tested it, I mean, ecommerce plugins.

    However, it isn’t the better solution, because the admin pannel shows the issues related with the shop. So, my client will see them! This is the reason why I think it’s not a solution.

    Did someone create a catalog with WP?

    I’d like to avoid learning a new cms. But, if WP doesn’t offer creating catalogs, then I’ll do.
