Catalog is not being imported from woocommerce to facebook
-
Hi,
I have installed facebook for woocommerce plugin.
I have tried to sync products of one categorie. In commerce manager I can see that 2 items are added in the catalog. But none of the products are seen on the facebook page.
I have followed the steps from this site for getting started with facebook for woocommerce: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/facebook-for-woocommerce/#prettyPhoto/0/
I have already checked that I have only one catalog, this had been created while performing the steps for facebook for woocommerce. Can someone give me suggestion what I can do to troubleshoot this issue further?
regards,

One thing that was strange is that in the beginning, I could not select Facebook shop from the options:
– Facebook Ads
– Facebook shop
– Instagram ShoppingHi @rengoeptar,
Thanks for reaching out to us! Sorry to hear you’re having trouble getting the plugin to sync with Facebook. I’m happy to help you!
As a first step, could you please enable logging, try syncing again, and then share the log for us to review? To do so, please follow these steps:
- Head to Marketing > Facebook.
- Enable debug mode at the bottom of the screen and save the settings.
- Repeat the steps to replicate the error.
- Head to WooCommerce > Status > Logs.
- Choose the Facebook log from the dropdown and click the “View” button to display the log. Please note that the log may be in UTC/GMT time, so it may be offset by a few hours.
- Copy and paste the log into https://snipboard.io and share the resulting link. You can also paste the logs directly in your reply.
Thank you!
Hi,
I have copied the log to pastebin: https://pastebin.com/c38QY7Zk.
I ahd alreadu enabled the debug log. And you will see that I have performed the steps to integrate woocommerce with facebook again. And have synced the products again. I have not added any product after that.Hi @rengoeptar

This is possibly caused by the status of your Commerce account/Facebook shop isn’t approved yet.
To see if your Commerce account/Facebook shop approved or not, please complete the following steps:
- 1. Go to Marketing > Facebook, click Manage Connection
- 2. You’ll be redirected to a page like below, and click on Commerce Account
Link to image: https://d.pr/i/KaKIpn - 3. That will take you to another page, like the following screenshot, see the status at the top, if it’s approved, you can click on the manage channel button:
Link to image: https://d.pr/i/z4RwUy - 4. If your Commerce account/Facebook shop is approved, there will be a Shop tab on your Facebook page:

I hope that helps!
If you have any other questions, do not hesitate to let us know!
Hi @solstudioim ,
Thank you for your suggestions. I am sending a link with a screenshot. Here you can see that commerce account is not visible on my screen.
Is it region related?Link screenshot: https://snipboard.io/gcrDJM.jpg
And is it like that the shop on the Facebook page should first be created with the commerce manager?
When I do that I get this: https://snipboard.io/LC2Wfv.jpgAnd I have shop section on my facebook page: https://snipboard.io/wZGE29.jpg
This was automatically created on my page.-

Hi there,
Is it region related?
Link screenshot: https://snipboard.io/gcrDJM.jpgWe don’t know but I am located outside US and this is how it looks for me: https://d.pr/i/kp65Qc – I think the relevant details is that the shop needs to be listed as “Asset”.
And is it like that the shop on the Facebook page should first be created with the commerce manager?
To my knowledge, yes. It needs to be created in the Commerce Manager.
When I do that I get this: https://snipboard.io/LC2Wfv.jpg
That looks like you will need to wait until this feature is available in your country :/.
And I have shop section on my facebook page: https://snipboard.io/wZGE29.jpg
This was automatically created on my page. This is a “Facebook Page Shop”, the predecessor of the new “Facebook Shops”. For reference: https://www.facebook.com/business/help/529846727168849?id=206236483305742 – Screenshot: https://d.pr/i/czC90a

Hey @conschneider,
Thank you for the information.
I have one last question.
Do facebook for Woocommerce plugin create the Facebook Shop automatically?
And if that is so, in my case have this shop not been created.
So the products I have added to the catalog will not be shown on the facebook shop page?
I have read that facebook shop page can be managed through the commerce manager. So if there is no facebook shop created in commerce manager, the plugin would not integrtae with facebok shop page?Kind regards,
Hi again @rengoeptar,
Do facebook for Woocommerce plugin create the Facebook Shop automatically?
A Facebook Shop is not created automatically via the WooCommerce extension.
While performing the initial set-up of the Facebook for WooCommerce extension, you can connect to an existing asset, like a Facebook Page or Catalog, or you can create a new one. However, these steps are not done automatically.
Here is a link with more details about connecting to different Facebook assets:
https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/facebook-for-woocommerce/#getting-started
So the products I have added to the catalog will not be shown on the facebook shop page?
You will need to activate your Facebook Shop before the products you’ve added to your catalog will be shown there. You can find more information about activating your Facebook Shop at the following link:
https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/facebook-for-woocommerce/#how-to-activate-your-facebook-shop
I have read that facebook shop page can be managed through the commerce manager. So if there is no facebook shop created in commerce manager, the plugin would not integrtae with facebok shop page?
You’re correct. Commerce Manager provides you with a view of shops and catalogs you have access to, but you can also create a new shop if that option is not already there. You can find more information about the Commerce Manager at the following link:

Hi @csmcneill ,
Thank you for the detailed information.
In my case I am not seeing commerce, when I click to manage settings.
And I did not get the option to create a shop, it seems to be unavailable for my region.
What do you suggest I should do to connect my woocommerce to my facebook page?Kind Regards

Hi @rengoeptar,
this what I see: https://snipboard.io/s0OcPN.jpg
It looks like you’re able to sign into the Facebook commerce manager, from there you need to create your shop by selecting “Add Shop” in the top right.
Facebook has some documentation including videos that walk you through the process of setting up your shop here:
https://www.facebook.com/business/learn/lessons/how-to-set-up-a-shop-in-commerce-manager
Once that is all set up you should then be able to configure the plugin to sync to the shop you’ve created.
Please let us know if you run into any issues.
Hi @snaacks,
It looks like you’re able to sign into the Facebook commerce manager, from there you need to create your shop by selecting “Add Shop” in the top right.
I cannot add shop because facebook shop is not available in my region. I have also checked the list https://www.facebook.com/business/help/549256849084694?_rdc=2&_rdr. Suriname is not supported for this.
Can you tell me if it is possible for this plugin to integrate with the facebook page shop?I i create manually a shop on the page itself. And if it is, how can I connect the catalog of the page to the businness account commerce manager? Is this possible?
Kind regards

Hi all,
Just want to confirm something. I have already found out that I am not able to create a Facebook shop, because this is not supported in my region. So I have created the shop on the Facebook page. And connected the catalog with my business account. Is it possible to integrate this Facebook page shop with woocommerce using the plugin and the Facebook pixel?
I was just looking if there are ay alternatives to integrate Woocommerce with Facebook.
regards,
