    kristel_ttm,

Today I released a new version, 0.9.2. With this version you should be able to unlock your catablog directory for FTP uploads. Just make sure not to replace any of the folders, just the content of the originals folders. If you can backup the folders to your local machine you should be set. Good luck.

Thank you soooo much macguru2000. I updated to the new version (with a little fear despite I backed up everything first) and it is such an improvement. the function to unlock the folder is great ! At least I know I can import all my images at once.

    Thank you again !

Oh and I forgot to mention that my xml export problem is also solved since the new update ??

What was the template to have the paypal button only for items with a price ?

I’m glad to hear that the XML export and folder unlocking is working for you. I figure that most users don’t have knowledge of linux systems and file permissions so the unlock feature was a natural way to go for FTP users.

Now for showing buy now buttons only for items with a price…I have realized that this isn’t possible with the current release…sorry….so I will need to release an update to fix that bug. I will be reporting it in the bugs section and hopefully a release will be out soon. The way I am thinking of solving this issue is to have two text boxes in the view section, one for the layout and one for the buy now button. That way I can conditionally show the buy now code only when the price is above zero. Also, people will still be able to write their own buy now button code in the view panel. what do you think?

sounds good! It was not my intention to give you more work, I thought it was something I could change in the template.

Hi, I just found out about CataBlog today, and I installed it on two of my test blogs (both running WP 3.0.1). But, under “Add New CataBlog Entry”, when I double-click on “Select Image” to add a picture to a new catalog, nothing happens on either blog. What do I need to do? Thanks for your help!

    akhblanchard,

Are you using an approved web browsers with javascript support? I state in the documentation that you need to use Internet Explorer 8+, Firefox 3+ or Safari/Chrome. If you tell me your browser, operating system and confirm javascript is enabled I will try and help you some more. Thanks,

    – Zach

I bet that’s the problem. I was using IE 7. I do have access to other browsers. I will try another one. Thanks for your very quick help!

That could very well have been the problem. Luckily only the admin panels have browser requirements. The actual catalog that is rendered in your blog pages should work in all browsers, if your css is coded properly. Good luck, hope all works well when you get to try it on another browser.

    Hello macguru2000,

    Using wordpress version 3.0.1

Followed your instructions on the manual ftp upload – uploaded the images manually, unlocked folders and tried to regenerate the thumnails but nothing works. I am using the plugin on a sub-blog of the main blog. Thanks.

Also, to let u know, the new wordpress works a lot like wpmu: it does not use any “uploads” folder for media uploads; rather, it uses a directory called “blogs.dir”. Of course I would love to have an option to choose my own directory for the thumbnails, if possible ??

    >>when I double-click on “Select Image” to add a picture to a new catalog, nothing happens on either blog. What do I need to do? Thanks for your help!

That is the exact problem I had. I am using Firefox. Anyway, it is no big deal if I can get the manual ftp upload to work (in fact, the manual option is much safer IMO as far as security is concerned)

    chintu74,

I appreciate that you are using WordPress MultiSite and its really exciting that it has been incorporated into version three. Unfortunately I started development of CataBlog before wpmu was standard and well, it doesn’t play nice with multiple sites. Until I have a chance to upgrade CataBlog it will not work with wpmu, at least in no capacity that I am willing to support. This is probably why you are having problems unlocking and uploading images manually. Now as far as the “Select Image” button not working, what version of Firefox are you using? What operating system, is javascript on? Thanks for your comments,

    – Zach

Okay I get it. That is why probably the image upload is not working as well. Anyway, my Firefox version is 3.5.13. ??

BTW, is there any way I can contact u privately? This forum does not seem to support PMs. ??
