In the Public tab, when changing “Individual Pages Slug”, “Category Pages Slug” when an already populated library exists, the updated permalinks of each items give a ‘page not not found’ result.

At the ‘term_taxonomy’ table, it can be seen how the ‘taxonomy’ column still has the old slug values. If done at the DB via phpmyadmin, the CataBlog categories are lost though.

    [EDIT:]

When permalinks panel is resaved, it starts working again. Interestingly, the ‘taxonomy’ column still has the old values.

Anyway, my fault. Marked as resolved.

I’m unsure exactly how WordPress’s internals work with the slug paths. But from my understanding, the slug path is not saved in each items database row.

I am looking into clearing the permalink cache when you make changes to the public slug paths. The problem lies in the order of operations and making sure the changes are saved and then the cache cleared. From my understanding the cache cannot be cleared after the page starts rendering, but the new slug paths are actually saved after the page starts rendering…still looking into an elegant solution.

For now simply loading the permalinks admin panel clears the permalink page.
