Catablog Gallery Problem – Unable to Organize/Move Photos

  • I just downloaded the catablog gallery plugin for my other website after having great success with it on my original. I noticed that inside the actually gallery, I am unable to organize/move the photos around to change the order. It allows me to “X” (delete) the photo, but when I pick it up and drag it, the photos will never switch positions like they do on my other gallery and like they are supposed too. What could be the issue? I got this gallery plug in so I can do this easily, so it sort of defeats the purpose. Thank you in advance.

  • Hello lightwerkz can you let us know what is the difference between the website where the plugins works correctly and the website where it does not work?

    Thanks for your reply. Well its two separate sites. I just wanted to establish I am able to use the gallery organization feature to its fullest extent on one site, and on the other, when I click a photo in the gallery it does not switch spots with the other photo. I am only able to delete images.

    Hello lightwerkz, thank you for your reply. I think I did not explain myself correctly. If the plugin works well in one sight and does not work well on the other site then there must be something stopping the plugin to function well on one site.

    What are the specifications of both websites?

    • PHP version
    • MySQL version
    • Theme version
    • Is it running Apache or Windows server

    The above are some of the very important questions that will help you understand why it is working in one website and not the other.

    I agree with your comment. I am not knowledgable enough to know the differences.

    One that is working properly:
    WP version 3.5.1
    catablog version 1.6.3
    PHP version 5.2.17
    MySQL version 5.1.56

    one that is not working properly:
    WP version 3.6.1
    catablog version 1.6.4
    PHP version 5.2.17
    MySQL version 5.1.56

    Im not sure how to check apache or windows server.

    Hi lightwerkz, thank you for the information. Do both websites have the same plugins installed? Are they both using the same Theme?

    Different theme, one is custom, the other (non working one) is using the “core” theme which was purchased.

    Hi lightwerkz, then I am almost certain that the problem is your theme. You will have to get in contact with your theme developer and let them know what is happening when you use CataBlog.

    If your theme is not the problem then make sure that all your plugins are compatible with CataBlog.
