    Once I installed this plug-in, when someone adds products to the cart, you can only see how many products are in your cart when you are on the ‘cart page’ or the ‘checkout page’. As soon as you navigate back to the homepage (or any other blog post or page on the site), it shows zero items being in the cart. Once you go back to the cart or checkout page you can see your items in the cart again. Is this normal? Any ideas on how to fix it?

    you can only see how many products are in your cart when you are on the ‘cart page’ or the ‘checkout page’.

    That’s typically where items that are in the cart are shown. Are you referring to a mini-cart that’s rendered on your fronted pages?

    Any ideas on how to fix it?

    The Stripe plugin doesn’t control the mini-cart, that’s usually the result of your theme or a 3rd party plugin that displays a mini-cart. Can you confirm if you’re referring to a mini-cart and if so if you’re using a plugin or theme for that functionality?

    My apologies, I don’t think I was clear. On my website, in the top right corner it shows a cart icon (and then the amount of items). It will display this regardless of what page you are on in the website. So what I’m noticing is that I can see the items in my cart in the top right when I am on the cart or checkout page, but as soon as I navigate away, it goes back to displaying “0 items” in the top right corner. And then if I go back the cart or checkout page, it shows the items being there again. Maybe this is an issue with my theme, but I’m pretty sure it started only when I switched to this payment plug-in because I have never noticed this before.

    Thank you for the page link, I was able to observe the behavior you’re reporting. I don’t believe the Stripe plugin would be the cause of this, since the Stripe plugin is not even loading on your shop page for example.

    Try this:

    1. Temporarily deactivate our plugin and then notify us and we will review your site again.
    2. When our plugin is deactivated, test your shop page etc and see if the correct item count displays.

    It looks to me like your theme is loading a cached version of the cart and that’s why it’s showing 0 items.

    Thank you for having a look. I just deactivated the plug-in, and the issue is still there so like you said it might be a caching issue and not an issue with the plug-in. I use WP rocket so I will have a look in the settings. Thank you so much for helping me figure this out!
