I’m really struggling with Woocommerce and have spend weeks getting the layout and design to a satisfactory position.

However, I have come across an issue where by when items are added to the cart they sometimes randomly remove after you refresh the page or when you add another product.

I’m using Hello Elementor Child Theme along with ShopLentor, and at first I thought its and issue with the ShopLentor widget, so I’ve changed it to the Elementor Template, but does the same, so I tried using just the Woocommerce shortcode, but again it still produces the same result.

I’ve tried clearing the cart sessions, clearing the browser (google chrome) cache and updating the woocommerce DB, but nothing changes.

I’ve even had it were I add an item to the cart and then refresh the cart and the cart shows the empty cart page.

Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing items to remove from the cart after being added?

    Hello @markw1984,

Thank you for reaching out to WooCommerce Support.

I appreciate the troubleshooting steps you’ve taken so far, including trying different templates and shortcodes, clearing cart sessions, browser cache, and updating the WooCommerce database.

This kind of problem is usually caused by a conflict with your theme or with another plugin. The best way to determine this is by running a full conflict test.

To test, you’ll first want to change the theme on your site to Storefront, then check to see if the issue is still present. If that resolves the issue, you’ll want to get in touch with your theme’s developer and see if they have an update or fix for you.

If changing the theme doesn’t help, you’ll want to deactivate all plugins except for WooCommerce and take a look. If that fixes the problem, re-enable the other plugins one by one (gradually), checking after each, to see where the issue is coming from.

Be sure you have a good backup in place of your full site and database. You can ask your host for backup functionality or you can consider using a service like Jetpack. If something goes wrong, you will be able to restore it.

I hope that helps! Let us know once you have done a conflict test!
