    Hi there,

In the shipping options, there is a checkbox labeled “Enable the shipping calculator on the cart page.” When checked, it allows the customer to enter a shipping address, and the site will calculate shipping based on that address.

When unchecked, though, and with the ?WooCommerce Weight Based Shipping plugin active, it still shows the shipping calculation, it just prevents you from editing what the address is.

    Expected behavior
When that setting is unchecked, the shipping calculation shouldn’t show up on the cart page at all.

    Actual behavior
The shipping calculation does show up.

Any help with this would be much appreciated. ??

    Hi,

That is how WooCommerce works: https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/issues/26839

No, that is a post describing the issue of a bug within WooCommerce, this bug does not happen on my website unless the WooCommerce Weight Based Shipping plugin is activated.

The “Enable the shipping calculator on the cart page” flag controls the appearance of the location selection form. It does not hide available shipping options.

If yuo uncheck ‘?Enable the shipping calculator on the cart page’ the cart displays the message ‘Shipping costs are calculated during checkout.’

This is how it should function.

When the WooCommerce Weight Based Shipping plugin is active.

It does not function this way.

If yuo uncheck ‘ Enable the shipping calculator on the cart page’ the cart displays the message ‘Shipping costs are calculated during checkout.’

That is true unless you have a shipping method active, either WBS or not. Try adding a Flat Rate, for example.
