    Hi,

Could you elaborate with what do you mean ‘dumps the cart’?

The Products Per Page plugin doesn’t affect the cart in any way, so it sounds like a weird issue no matter what.

Maybe you could try it with the other plugins disabled, to see if it indeed is the WPPP plugin that is causing it (on a test site may be preferred)

    Cheers,

With the products per page plugin turned on

    The following occurs:

I add products to the cart.
I click on the checkout button to go to the payment page.
The cart get’s emptied completely that is there are now zero products in the cart.

If am I logged in the problem doesn’t occur – just when I am guest.

I am going to record a jing to show you. As you can see by the jing video I am attaching that enable your plugin the cart is emptied when checking out and when disabled the cart works fine.

Not sure if the theme is involved or not or whether something else is involved.

I turned off every other plugin besides woocommerce and the essential other plugins for our site to run – not the optional and tried this as well with your plugin turned on and turned off same exact conclusion.

So something about the way your plugin is interacting with session variables or cookies. Not sure that’s why I approached you with all the details of my environment.
Below is the link to the jing video showing you exactly what happens.
I am most certainly willing to diagnose the problem with you I love your plugin.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the video.

Got to say it is strange! Though I’m not 100% convinced (yet) its because of the WPPP plugin.
(not fully discarding you or anything, just sharing whats going through my mind ??

    Two reasons:
    – I see there are 70 other plugins active, which is a whole lot that can go wrong (probably also have quite some in your functions.php?) (not sure if this was your test with only essential plugins)
    – I just tested this on my local environment and had no issues, plus no one of all the other users have reported anything similar
    – and the unlikely-hood this would be related

I noticed that there was a new free shipping rate available (and selected) when it occurred. Could you give the plugin a try on a clean new website? Only with WC + one of the default themes active?

    Thanks!
    Jeroen

    Dear Jeroen,

I am prepared to help you figure out what is cause this incompatibility.

I have tried exactly what you stated and it does work just fine.

I am not prepared to change out the theme flatsome which has over 25000 installs. They claim it is your plugin that is not behaving well.

I would love to give the functionality to my users of my site but not at the expense of the cart getting emptied.

I have tested your plugin thoroughly before I deployed it and it did work fine.

Then when I did urgent updates to woocommerce, the flatsome theme which uses some of woocommerce template files it stopped working.

Not sure why or what changed.

You might gain some insights into why it fails in this environment and be able to feel proud of a plugin that behaves even with themes that might not behave well.

Thank you for being willing to look into this

    Hi Charles,

Glad to hear it is working when doing testing.

That suggests that there’s something else interfering,, possibly in a different scenario then you may think. (e.g. the free shipping rate, or some specific product in the cart that causes some other code execution)

Only way to find out what may be interfering is disabling all plugins and re-activate them one by one and checking when things are getting messy.

    Let me know ??

there seems to be a issue relating to the

    WordPress Address (URL)
    https://www.IntelligentNutrients.ca
    Site Address (URL)
    https://www.IntelligentNutrients.ca/homepage

The site won’t load correctly unless I point this site url to a page name

    here is the .htaccess

    #
    # BEGIN WordPress
    <IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteBase /
    RewriteRule ^index\.php$ – [L]
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
    RewriteRule . /index.php [L]
    </IfModule>

    # END WordPress

This is a very strange issue – yet when the site is in a subdirectory – everything is fine. Any ideas?

    Plugin Author Jeroen Sormani

    (@sormano)

    Hi,

This sounds very strange, but unfortunately not something I can help you with out of the blue.

My best advise is to ask your website developer / host if you have issues with the website loading. They usually have the tools to investigate and fix the issue ??

    Cheers,
    Jeroen

    Thread Starter intramezzo

    (@intramezzo)

It is still only you plugin that fails – everything else works on the site even though there are some hinkey things about the site redirection.

I will be testing the site on a full subdirectory rather than the root and see if your plugin works there.

I was thinking you might want to know what is suspect about your plugin in my configuration. Right now it’s probably not an issue with any other site. In the future in might become one.

There’s the benefit to fixing the plugin.

IF you’re not interested in finding out why it’s only your plugin that doesn’t work then i am puzzled – as a coder myself from days gone by I would have wanted to know.

If you are interested in hearing about my outcome let me know,
    Thanks as always
    In Advance

    Hi Charles,

I’d gladly hear your progress/outcome on this.

Also happy to investigate further if you find something/clues to why/when it happens.

    Stays a very strange thing..

    Jeroen

    Thread Starter intramezzo

    (@intramezzo)

The clues to it happening are as follows:
When I add items to the cart – they definelty get added.
When I checkout the cart is empty?

As in the video I sent you it’s consistent

    Charles

I don’t believe this is a plugin thing at all. Before updating to the latest Woocommerce update with my FLATSOME theme, Woo warned that Flatsome contained outdated template replacements of some woo files.

Blah blah, Bluehost automagically updated my wordpress version to the latest and all of the sudden Woocommerce plugins (which I have been holding off updating for this very reason) are now automagically upadted as well.

Long story short, I have some functions.php scripting that populates cart when someone clicks a button. Now I can see the upper RH corner cart mini icon in Flatsome Java spin and show 1 item in cart for an instant and then ZERO.

When I manually add item to the cart I get the same response, except that now cart is empty when I go to checkout.

This is not a WooPPP prob as I don’t have WPPP installed at all.

This is a Woo and Flatsome theme issue, I believe FYI
