Cart does not refresh after checkout

Often after the order on the checkout page the cart is empty but it is sufficient to change the page and the cart is full again.

Thanks for reaching out to our forums. If I understand correctly, you’ve observed some weird Cart behavior when the Facebook for WooCommerce extension is active on your site & I’m glad to assist. It sounds like you may be experiencing some caching issues being that recently ordered items remain in your cart after the order is processed, as you’ve described. I’m wondering if you have any other caching plugins installed on your site.

It’d be great if you could share your current System Status Report. You can get it by navigating to the WooCommerce > Status section of your site. Once there, click on the Get system report button and then copy it by clicking on the Copy for support button, then paste it here in your reply.

In order to create this report I have reactivated all plugins and theme customization. As caching plugin we use wp rocket (but it was deactivated during our tests). I hope this helps.

Thanks for the system status report @shaphiro. Could you try testing without Divi active at all, and just a default theme like Twenty Twenty? I realize that this will cause UI issues on the site and that you can’t leave it disabled permanently, but this is just for troubleshooting purposes, as this isn’t a common issue we see with the Facebook plugin.

Let us know how that goes and we’ll go from there!

I have already tested without Divi and it seems to work. I’m saying “it seems” because the problem does not always occur. The only thing I noticed is that the problem vanishes if I deactivate your plugin. I will ask also to Divi help in order to investigate possible caching problems.

Thanks for testing without Divi. In my test site with a default theme like “Storefront”, I am unable to reproduce the problem after several attempts. So, it would be a great idea to discuss this with Divi to see if there is a conflict between the Divi theme and Facebook for WooCommerce.

According to our support policy we are unable to guarantee compatibility solution with third-party themes.

If you are able to reproduce the problem while using a default theme, please let us know.

Hi, the same problem, Cart does not refresh after checkout. Tried without facebook plugin, it works fine, when activating the plugin the problem occur. i fixed it by installing and old version of facebook plugin.

Can you please clarify whether this happened with the default Storefront theme and the latest version of Facebook for WooCommerce extension on your site?

Or was it with Divi and the latest version of Facebook for Wooommerce?

In case the issue was with a default theme please do let us know otherwise I’d suggest temporarily keeping the older version but also reporting this to Divi so that they can apply a fix on their next release ??

I have the same problem… using Flatsome theme and Litespeed cache… Deactivating Facebook for Woocommerce helps…

@khalil43 what version of Facebook plugin did you use to fix the problem?

@rdeari looks like when Facebook plugin is activated cart cookies get set back to previous values on wc-ajax=get_refreshed_fragments request.

If you switch the theme to Storefront, does the issue go away? If so it might be something with DIVI. Also, I see from your Status Report:

if I install the StoreFront theme the problem disappears but this does not mean that it is a Divi theme problem since the problem also occurs on another theme as reported from @nejckikelj

Currently (with 2.6.12) if I try to reconnect the application to woocommerce I receive the following error: “Catalog ID is missing”. I saw this error in other threads of this support forum and it seems another strange bug that has no solutions.

I would like to reconnect the app because I cannot delete the products from the catalog without the app! Currently facebook looked my catalog and I cannot remove the products without the Facebook for woocommerce application. This is crazy.

If the issue does abate with a switch of themes, then on your particular site it is possible there is either a different plugin that is related to the theme (such as a Divi plugin, Elementor, or something that works with Divi) which is blocking it. We do not know on other sites because of very limited information.

If re-activating Divi causes the issue to come back, do alert your theme developer about it, they can take a look and see why it happened.

I reported (a few weeks ago) the problem to Divi team but when they tried to replicate the environment on their servers your plugin gave them back error “Catalog ID is missing” (exactly the same error it is giving me currently). So I wouldn’t really know how to do it.

The link I reported (those interested can translate it into English or other languages) does not solve the problem but proposes an alternative solution with a plugin that works with Divi and (I suppose) with all the other themes that give this problem.
