Cart cleared before payment confirmation

  • No matter what gateway I select woocommerce seems to be clearing the cart after the user transitions from /checkout to /checkout/order-pay. In other words, the order seems to be “submitted” and indeed shows up in the WC admin panel BEFORE the credit card or pay pal payment can be confirmed. In this case I am using an NMI 3-step redirect gateway and a paypal gateway.

    It is really pretty poor for the user to see a cleared cart when they are still on the credit card payment screen and not even be able to go back to change their mind on the payment type because their cart is now empty.
