    Hi, Support

I submitted a new sitemap.xml in the Google Search Console, and I removed some pages on sitemap.xml so Google doesn’t index those pages

In the Google search console, I get 3 errors.
Submitted URL Marked noindex. The URLs are cart, checkout, and my account.

I was setting those pages (Under Advanced Settings, “NO” is selected to allow search engines to search my posts. Under Settings for Single Page URLs, “NO” is selected for show pages in search results). screenshot –> https://prnt.sc/114fy6x

How do I fix these errors?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi @samdee

Just to let you know, the Yoast SEO generated sitemap should have the URL of /sitemap_index.xml. If it doesn’t have that URL, that sitemap isn’t being generated by the Yoast SEO plugin.

We would recommend that you enable our sitemaps here — https://yoast.com/help/xml-sitemaps-in-the-wordpress-seo-plugin/

When you set a particular post or page to ‘noindex’ and not to show in the search results, it will automatically be removed from the Yoast SEO sitemap. So when you submit the Yoast SEO generated sitemap, there shouldn’t be any issues or warnings related that the ‘submitted URL marked noindex’ since the noindexed URLs would already be removed from the sitemap in the first place.

You can remove and resubmit the correct sitemap (/sitemap_index.xml) here — https://yoast.com/help/submit-sitemap-search-engines/#google-remove

But the sitemap-xml generated by YOAST has an error.

How to remove those URLs from sitemap-xml ?

    Thanks

@samdee So you want to remove https://www.mekanuma.id/e-landing-page-sitemap.xml sitemap from the sitemap list.

It seems that the aforementioned page sitemap has been generated by 3rd-party plugin installed on your website.

While we are not sure which plugin or theme itself, if you go to SEO > Search Appearance > Content Type, do you see any content type like E Landing Page post type? If you see similar, toggle Show E Landing Page in search results to No.

Does this remove the sitemap from the Yoast sitemap list?

Ok, thank you for your help.

I was set up E Landing Page in search results to “No”.
Now, I am waiting for validation progress from Google Search Console.

    Last question:
What happens if I put two sitemaps (1st: Manual Sitemaps, 2nd Sitemaps generated by YOAST) in Google Search Console?

    Hello @samdee!

We don’t recommend having 2 separate sitemaps for your site. This will only confuse Google. So it’s either you use the Yoast sitemap and disable the other sitemap, or use the other sitemap and disable the Yoast sitemap.
