    Hi,
I use the theme OceanWP with woocommerce and the guttenberg blocks.
For my cart and my checkout I choose the blocks and they are displayed in german.
But in the frontend of my website there are some texts (f.E. products, “proceed to checkout” in english).
How can I resolve this problem?
    Thank you.

  • Hi there @nadjal77 ??

I see. Well, it is odd to be able to see them in German while adding them in the back-end, but not in the front-end.

Could you please share screenshots of what you see in the back-end and the front-end? That will help us understand the issue. Here’s how to make a screenshot:

Additionally, could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select Get system report and then Copy for support.?You can use https://pastebin.com/ for pasting it there and sharing it with us.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

    Hi @nadjal77

Thanks for sending the screenshots and the System Status Report.

Warenkorb: ? Die Seite enth?lt nicht den [woocommerce_cart]-Shortcode oder woocommerce/cart-Block.
Kasse: ? Die Seite enth?lt nicht den [woocommerce_checkout]-Shortcode oder woocommerce/checkout-Block.

Based on the SSR, the Cart and Checkout pages do not contain the proper shortcodes or blocks for them to work properly. Can you please add them first and see if it works?

If this did not resolve the issue, please check on this support documentation on why some strings on the Checkout page are not being translated.

Let us know how it goes!

    Hello @nadjal77 ??

Besides the missing pages, that @xue28 mentioned above, please try the following steps:

    1. Go to /wp-admin/update-core.php to check if translations are available. If so, please install them.
    2. Go to the page in the editor that contains the Cart block.
    3. Remove the Cart block and re-add it again.

Following these steps, should lead to the following result:

Please note that the part “You may be interested in…”, which is visible at the bottom of the screenshots, comes for a recently introduced feature. These strings haven’t been translated yet, but it’s possible to adjust that string directly in the editor.

    Thank you for your help.
It is really strange. I updated the languagefiles, removed the cart block and added it again. Empty the cache and reload the site. I still have the parts in english.
I removed the cart block and added the shortcode for the cart. reload the site and now it is working and I have all parts in german.
So I added the shortcode for the checkout too.

I had the problem, that my payment options where not shown in the cart, too. This problem is also solved.
Can this be a problem with the blocks and the template?

    Thank you so much!
    regards

    Hello,

In this case, you can perform a conflict test. Many users have the option of a staging site to test issues, that way you will not touch the live site.

To learn more about the conflict test, please refer to:
    https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-self-service-guide/#section-4

To create a staging site, you can use WP Staging for quickly spinning up a new test site.

Let us know if this worked for you.
