Hi there,

I am having trouble carrying the name of the course to a Gravity Form in your popup via dynamic population from the link to the form. The drop-down in the form in your popup is not being pre-selected with the name of the course when you click REGISTER in the bottom table.

But if you click “Please let us know” in either of the first 2 accordions, the resulting form (the same one as in the popup) on the next page – https://jamesonwater.radarhill.ca/test-form/?courseid=Wastewater_Treatment_Plant_Operations –?does have either course pre-selected with the URL appended.

When the form is in the popup, there is no amendment to the URL so nothing is carried to it.

Is it possible to have the course pre-selected from a link when the Gravity Form is in your popup?

Hi @pmycroft,

We clicked Register on the bottom table but the popup didn’t trigger. It looks like you already removed it. Could you add the popup trigger back to the link so we can test the popup?

Is it possible to have the course pre-selected from a link when the Gravity Form is in your popup?

This is possible if the link is redirected to a page and the popup is set to auto-open there.

Hi Kim,

Yes, sorry, I did. But I added it back here, in the first 2 accordions and “Please let us know” links. Both should open your popup with the 2-page form embedded but the course that was clicked from is not pre-selected from the drop-down:

Hi @pmycroft,

We checked your site again but we still didn’t see the popup trigger on the links you indicated. We checked accordions and also searched popmake-740 in the page source.

It should work but the popup needs to Auto Open at https://jamesonwater.radarhill.ca/course-matrix/course-matrix-inquiry/.

You can add a specific targeting to the popup so that it will only Auto Open in that page.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for fixing the link!

A popup that opens with a click without any redirect won’t work in this case. A redirect must happen first for the parameter to be auto-filled inside the popup.
