Carousel with description visible underneath

  • This site is a work in progress, a revamp of the existing site.

    Is there a plugin that will allow me to have a carousel like the one I currently have on top of the page, but will display the description/caption underneath the picture? Currently it show up on hover, but I would at least like to have the name of the item show up without having to hover.

    You might try asking through the dedicated support channel of your current carousel if there’s any way to display a caption without hover.

    If you can find any carousel plugin that accepts arbitrary HTML as element content, you would be able to include a caption. Sadly, most carousels are image specific and do not accept arbitrary HTML.

    I know FlexSlider 2 uses arbitrary HTML, but it’s not a WP plugin, it’s a jQuery library which you’d need to integrate into WP yourself. Thus some jQuery coding experience within the WP environment would be very desirable.
