Carousel to display pages instead of posts?

Hi,
Is it possible to customize the front page carousel in order to display specific pages instead of posts? Otherwise, is it possible to at least hide some of the information displayed in the carousel (Date created, number of comments and category), to not obstruct the featured image related to that page (or post)?
I’m trying to use the carousel to display only a few highlighted sections (pages) in a site, so it would be enough to display just the title and the “continue reading” link. The date of creation is not important and comments are not possible in those pages, therefore such information will be irrelevant in my carousel.
I would appreciate any guidance on this. Thanks in advance.
