Carousel settings: can’t select category

    Hello!
    I have been using ‘Anissa’ for a few weeks now and have already been able to select a category for my carousel posts (design – customizer – carousel settings).

    However, when I wanted to change the category a few weeks later the dropdown didn’t show any of my categories.

    I have already deleted and re-installed the theme, and checked all category-related settings.

    Do you definitely have posts categories set up with posts in them ?
    They will only show if you have posts in them.

    Yes I have made several posts for different categories.
    A few weeks back I was already able to select the category and all the posts showed up as planned. However when I wanted to change the category nothing appeared on the dropdown. I checked the categories, the posts, tried to change it on mobile and deinstalled the whole theme but nothing changed.

    Thats strange, did you install any new plugins? Maybe one is interfering with it.
    You can test by deactivating all plugins and then see if it functions.

    Thank you for the advice! I have deactivated all of them and reloaded the site a few times, but still no difference.

    I assume it’s a theme bug, as I remotely recall a theme update happening inbetween the changes. I have contacted the producers and am now waiting for their response or an update.

    I assume it’s a theme bug, as I remotely recall a theme update happening inbetween the changes. Also I haven’t made any major changes since then and me deinstalling the theme and disabling the plugins should have reversed those.

    Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.

    If something was to go wrong, then you the author may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty.

    Please be aware that repeatedly asking for credentials will result in us asking you to repeatedly stop before escalating up to the theme review team.

    @griden I didn’t see your last message, but I don’t give my passwords away, for the reasons Jan mentioned. I can however post screenshots of the Customizer, category settings and css files, if you need any of those.

    Suddenly started working. (didn’t make any changes)
