Carousel Minimum Height

Hi, I am using your theme and I love it. Seriously, it works awesome and looks awesome right out of the box.

Im have one issue though. The carousel at the top of the home screen occasionally appears too small when the image is not 300x300px. That happens to me sometimes then the blue links to the article is cut off from the screen.

I managed to solve this by editing the carousel.php file and mover the link box above the excerpt. But, what I really wanted to do was fix the carousel minimum height. There is the option for a maximum but no minimum.

I am not able to figure out how to do this. Is there some way to do this? Thank you!

Notice how I moved the blue details box up above the excerpt but the excerpt and stuff is still all scrunched up at the bottom.

This also has the effect of moving the entire screen up and down as the the carousel autoplays through images smaller than 320x320px so I turned the autoplay off.
