Carousel image slider loads then goes to individual image

  • Hi, I want to change my wordpress theme from Skylark to Twenty Fourteen and previewed Twenty-Fourteen to see how it looks. It looks good, by the way, a lovely theme.
    But when I click on a post and then click on the gallery, it brings up the Carousel slider but then immediately goes to the individual image page. The slideshow disappears.
    Is this because it’s in preview mode, and will it work if I activate the theme? Or why would the slider default to the individual image if it isn’t the preview mode that’s doing it?
    This site is for galleries of images and I would very much like to know that the slideshow works before I commit to changing themes.
