Carousel does not work

I downloaded to test before I decide on Pro version. The Carousel scroll does not work, no matter what I do. I tried shortcode in the page and also inserted php code in the front page PHP file. I noticed that usually questions over here are not answered, therefore I am very skeptical to go for Pro version, if basic version does not work and there is no help to resolve issues.
