Carousel conflict?

    Our client loves tiled galleries, so they use them extensively on their site. They know under post/page gallery settings to link to attachment, and set type to tiled gallery.

    We understand that for these to display we need Jetpack’s ‘Site Accelerator’ for images (Performance > Performance & speed) enabled (previously AKA Photon???)

    And that to have the images display in carousel, we need to activate ‘Display images in a full-screen carousel gallery’ under Performance > Media

    But with both these active, we have two problems currently:
    a) When you tap on one of the tiled images, the carousel tries to display but ‘glitches’ out, and
    b) activating the site accelerator distorts the row of 3 circular images on the homepage (LATEST NEWS, UPCOMING EVENTS, NURSERY) and turns them into elipses.

    Can you advise if we are experiencing a known conflict and what might be causing this.

    Our image CDN is not 100% compatible with all sliders, this is because how we resize images sometimes conflicts with how they do. We’re working on it, but for now I recommend leaving off “Speed up image load times.”

    You can use “Display images in a full-screen carousel gallery” without switching on the image CDN. Out of curiosity, does it work without glitching out that way?

    With Site accelerator on, but only ‘Speed up static file load times’ active (& Speed up image load times) disabled, the tiled gallery no longer ‘mosaics’ nicely and the carousel glitch is still there. Same if i completely disable Site accelerator.

    Tried disabling al plugins but couldn’t get rid of the issue. Can only think it’s theme-related. Could well be as Woothemes discontinued support for it (Canvas) in October 2018.

    Can u confirm you DO need ‘Site Accelerator/Speed up image load times’ for the galleries to display as tiled mosaics?

    You do need “Speed up image load times” for the mosaic gallery, yes.

    Is the slider only fixed when you fully deactivate the Jetpack plugin?
