Card Payments have stopped working – it’s a 3D Secure problem!

In the last few days Card payments have stopped working. After entering all card details in the checkout, user gets the following message:
OOPS, SOMETHING WENT WRONG. PLEASE TRY A DIFFERENT PAYMENT METHODAfter a lot of troubleshooting, I’ve found the issue is to do with 3D Secure. If I remove Visa from the list of Supported Card Types in the 3D Secure section of the plugin setup, the card payments work again for Visa. Not tried other card types but sure it will be the same result.
No failed orders are recorded in Woocommerce. No failed transaction are shown in my Braintree merchant account.
No plugins or themes had been updated during the period between payments working and not working, so I suspect something has changed with the Braintree SDK, and your plugin needs updating?
