For any product added to the cart, when selecting the CREDIT CARD option in my checkout page, which is related to the Stripe gateway, it ONLY allows us to enter the credit card number.

It is currently not possible to enter the Card Name.

I already uninstalled all plugins, with exception of Easy Digital Downloads, and the issue persisted. How can I fix it?

    Thank you!

    Hi @vfeinbox

Can you please try and change the theme to a default one from WordPress and test again? It’s possible that the theme is causing that if it’s still the same with all plugins disabled.

A good test would be to deactivate all plugins except for EDD and also change the theme. Then, if it looks correct try activating them back, one by one, until you find the culprit.

    Hi Mihai,

Thank you for your suggestion. Today, I installed a different theme (and even without deactivating the plugins), the credit card form from EDD-Stripe worked well.

In fact, the issue is with my theme.

Do you know if there is a easy way to…

    (a) bypass this problem with my theme (e.g. by adding a function to my theme)? It is an old theme.

    Or

    (b) to redirect the buyer to an “external checkout page” only when the credit card option is selected? I know Stripe has prebuilt checkout pages

PS: I said “easy way” because I don’t know PHP language, but sometimes I edit small pieces of code.

    Hi @vfeinbox

None of the options that you listed are easy to do. Option B is not possible at all as the Stripe gateway takes payment directly on your website and not via their hosted pages.

For option A you can’t add something to fix it as it’s something from inside the theme that is breaking everything else. You could try and hire a developer to “update” your theme or try and reach out to the theme developers to see if they are willing to fix it.

If that’s not really an option you could try looking at other themes.

    Regards
