Capturing User Login Information for Use with Google Docs

Is it possible to capture a user id and use that to populate fields in a Google spreadsheet? I am trying to re-create existing functionality in a WordPress website that already exists in our legacy site. I would like to extract the user’s name and email address from the user’s profile, and use these to populate cells in a spreadsheet or form.
