I have set the Transaction Type setting to “Authorization”.
At WooCommerce > Orders, I can not select the “Capture Charge,” because it is not shown on the dropdown list.
So, currently, I can only capture charges at Square App.
I would like to know why “Capture Charge” is not there…

  • Hi there @ayamonny ??

Thanks for reaching out about this; happy to help!

At WooCommerce > Orders, I can not select the “Capture Charge,” because it is not shown on the dropdown list.

As I understand, you are expecting an option to be available via a drop-down menu in the /wp-admin/admin.php?page=wc-orders screen.

Please note, the Capture Charge button can be found when opening the Edit Order screen of an order, as exemplified in the screenshot linked below. For reference:

That said, there is a way for capturing payments from the Orders screen, provided the checkbox showcased in the screenshot below is enabled. For reference:

I hope this is helpful! Please let us know if you have any further questions about this matter, or if we misinterpret your concern in any way. We will be happy to help you further.

    Hello Pepe,
    Thank you for your reply.

When I use the Capture Charge button on an individual order page, the charge is not automatically captured. I have to go to the Square app and capture the charge manually.

I have been using Woocommerce and Square on another website. They have Capture Charge on the order list page.
    *Sorry, it is in Japanese.
We don’t want to capture the charge automatically when the status changes (Processing or Completed). This Capture Charge button on the drop-down menu is really helpful. Do you know why this button is not showing on our new website?

    ?? hi @ayamonny

Thank you for reaching back, clarifying things further.

I have been using Woocommerce and Square on another website. They have Capture Charge on the order list page.

A comparison of the plugins activated on the site with the option in the drop-down, and the new, will provide further information, as I understand.

I trust that points you in the right direction, but if you have more questions, let us know.

    We’re happy to help.
