    Hi guys,

    Firstly, I have to say that this is the first of the many plug-ins that I have tried that puts my images side by side at a decent size or that doesn’t conflict with my theme. Kudos. However I am struggling with two features, Firstly the captions, If i add the shortcut [gallery caption="true"] then it adds extra pictures to my gallery, however without it, only the selected images display, just of course without the caption that is required. How can I make it caption without adding images?

    Secondly, i need the individual images to link to spec sheets, where do i create those links?

    Your help would be vastly appreciated.

    We have not run into this particular issue before. The only thing that comes to mind is that certain images may have other images nested within their captions, since captions support HTML markup. Provide us with a link to the page that shows the issue and we can look into it.

    As far as linking images to spec sheets, you should be able to simply add the URL to the document in the Gallery Link URL field when editing the image.

    As you said, the first three images in the gallery appear to not be part of the shortcode. However, if the sample shortcode you provided is any indication, it seems that the number of columns is also being ignored. The next thing we can think to try is to edit the post, switch into Text (HTML) mode and replace any shortcodes with the following:

    [gallery columns="4" ids="440,437,438,439" caption="true"]

    Let us know if it still misbehaves.
