Captions with Advanced Gallery

    Hi, I haven’t yet published this website yet but I have a question about captions in your Advanced Gallery (by the way, I love the Kadence Blocks plugin, it’s been super helpful). Ideally I’d like to show captions in the lightbox (using your built-in lightbox), but not on the gallery, not even on hover. Also, as some of my captions are lengthy (which is why I don’t want them showing on the gallery), it would be great if you pulled the caption from the media library rather than creating one independently. My problem is that I need to enable captions for the gallery in order to enter a caption. The caption is also enabled for the lightbox. After creating the captions, I then disable them on the gallery. However — what if I find a typo and need to change one? Then, I need to re-enable the captions on the gallery — and they’ve all disappeared, I need to re-enter every single one. If you aren’t able to connect the captions to the media library, is there a way to save them even if they are disabled after creation? Thanks!

    Hello,

    Thank you for reaching out to us.

    You can disable the Show Captions option and just show the caption in the lightbox. To enable lightbox, select Media File for the Link To option in block settings > Link Settings and Lightbox for the Link Trigger option.

    The Advanced Gallery block’s image captions will also come from the captions you set on the Media Library. If you update a caption, you’ll need to edit the Advanced Gallery block to update it.
