• Hi,
    since some versions, captions are shown on a gallery image when hovering over an image, despite set to ‘none’ on the settings page. (figcaption element present)
    Gallery-Plugin-Version: 4.0.8
    WP: 5.6
    Stack: MEOW Wplr-sync -> MEOW WP/LR Theme Assistant -> MEOW Perfect Images -> MEOW Gallery -> MEOW Lightbox

    Problem persists even with autooptimize off.
    Do you need some more infos?
    I could override the hover behaviour, but thats kinda dirty..
    Thanks & regards
    Hannes

  • Hello @haskonashi,

    Thank you for the feedback, we have had another user having the same issue, would it be possible to tell me with which layout you have the issue ( if not with all of them! ) ?

    In the meantime, I think adding some simple custom CSS wouldn’t be so dirty, something like:

    .mgl-gallery .mgl-caption {
        display: none !important;
    }

    Best regards,
    Thomas

    Hi Thomas (@kywyz),

    already did the css, that helps. I use the tiles layout. But it seems they appear on any layout.
    Thanks for the response.

    Regards
    Hannes
