Captions over images

    Is there a way to have captions hover or be below, but not on top of gallery images? I am trying to reconfigure my gallery page using Advanced Gutenberg since I cannot get NextGEN to space my images correctly. I have not switched over yet, I would like a caption to hover in thumnails, then be below with added description in Lightbox view.

  • Hi,

    Currently Advanced Gutenberg does not offer this option, as you may have seen options are for WordPress galleries: image lightbox activation and caption under the lightbox.

    Though, this enhancement can be included in a future version as we’re currently working hard on it. Just to make sure I get it, you would like to have:
    – Display the caption text on mouseover on thumbnails (not below the image)
    – Display the caption text on lightbox opened, that’s currently the case so maybe I’m missing something here

    Note that you can find this mouse hover text in the Advanced image block but that not a gallery ??
