Caption shortcode shown as plain text after importing to newer wordpress install

  • Moved one of our wordpress sites a few days ago, using export/import function. Old version of wp was 3.1single install, imported this into 3.4 multisite.

    For some reason wp isnt able to render the caption shortcode, it ignores it and just prints the whole thing as plain text.

    I believed the reason is a difference in how the caption shortcode is formatted in newer versions of wordpress, but cant verify it.

    The format on out old site is like this:

    Is there some way to programatically fix this for all posts?
