    hi there!

first of all, great plugin! took me over a week of testing all other supposed “major” gallery plugins just to realize they all lacked some option i needed, until i found photoblocks!

just one little tweak i’d like to know if it’s possible to implement (some CSS probably):

can we change the place where the caption/description of the images are shown?

i’d like them to be immediately below the image, instead of covering the bottom 1/3 of the picture

    is it possible?

best regards and thanks for saving people that needed galleries that actually work!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Well, unfortunately it’s not just about some CSS because every positioning is made through JavaScript calculations and it would be quite complicated to change the algorithm because the height of the captions are not known (it changes based on the length of the text, the size of the font, the width of the container, etc.).

With the premium version you could use text blocks to add captions below the images. With the free version there’s not much we can do in this case.

    Cheers,
    Diego

oh, well, nothing is perfect, right? ??

hopefully, with the @media code i stole from a different post, the captions will not be shown if the screen is very small, preventing them from covering the entire image, so, no big deal, just a matter of my personal taste

still 10/10 as it concerns me, thanks Diego!

ps: how about at least being able to disable the effect of the caption “box” jumping a little bit up when hover? without that it would cover a little less the image ??
