caption attribute on Zenfolio photosets

  • Maybe I’ve misunderstood the documentation somehow, but for the life of me, I can’t seem to get the caption attribute to show anything but the image titles on Zenfolio photosets. This is what I’m trying to use;

    [gallery type='zenfolio' view='photosets' object_id='xxxxxxxxx' media='photos' layout='random' caption='desc-title' ]

    With the hopes that if a caption is present, it will show it, and if a caption is not present, it would show the image title instead.

    Does the caption attribute work for Zenfolio photosets?

    I am currently about to board a flight, so I don’t have access to my computer for the moment. However, if I recall correctly, captions are not implemented for level 2 constructs (Zenfolio photosets, Flickr galleries and albums, SmugMug albums etc.). I believe I have only built out this functionality for photos (i.e. level 1 constructs).

    It must at least look at the attribute for photosets, because if I change it to:

    [gallery type='zenfolio' view='photosets' object_id='xxxxxxxxx' media='photos' layout='random' caption='desc' ]

    Then the title no longer appears, which is what I would expect, but still no caption shows.

    But I understand that this doesn’t necessarily mean that the code it there to parse and display the caption. Please add that to my “wish list” ?? ?? ??

    Sorry, I have been a bit preoccupied with putting the finishing touches on a rather big release (and Zenfolio is quite significantly affected by the release), which is why I was unable to respond to a feature request.

    I can certainly consider this, but not for the release in the pipeline – the changes in the release are big enough to warrant a huge release numbering jump, and I don’t want to cram more into it and risk breakage.

    I will try to build this into the version two releases out.
