Captcha on Login

  • What might cause a Captcha to come up on login.

    I have not added a Captcha plugin but one pops up when I login.
    Each time is asks the same math problem and requires me to enter a code as user name and the answer as password before proceeding to the normal login.

    Any ideas as to what might be causing this?
    Any ideas how to get rid of it?

    Using Firefox 44.0.2 on Windows 10

  • Hack? Sounds to me like either a hack, or a hacked browser extension. Try in another browser, or on another computer.

    Luke, Thank you for your reply.

    I tried using Edge browser instead and the same result:
    “The server barnatstratford.org is asking for your user name and password. The server reports that is is from WordPress administrator CAPTCHA. Enter username: *** Password: The result of math ***.”

    Ah yes, I see. That’s related to your server’s configuration. Contact your host.
