    Hello,

I have started to get errors when people try to leave comments that require the Captcha, I am getting the same error every time — Error the answer inserted is wrong.

I have now disabled Captcha option on Comments and all is fine, but will this be fixed, i tried to search for this issue within the Forum and failed to find anything??

    thx

    John

Hi John, is this issue somewhat related to your other issue in the forum. What solution did you implement to your other issue?

    Hello,

The other issue occurred once, which is good, as it was a source of concern to me.

This issue is repeatable, well it was, i have now disabled the captcha.

Genuine Comments could not be sent as the Captcha aways failed.

I am wondering if it could be a cache plugin issue or theme? Do you have a cache plugin installed? If you do what cache plugin are you currently using?

    Hmmm, never thought of that.

I am using W3 Total Cache.

Can you for testing purposes delete the plugin cache and then disable W3 Total Cache plugin. Then carry out a test.

    Hello,

Before i proceed, can you verify how i delete the plugin cache please?

    Thx

I don’t use W3 Total Cache. However I am sure there are instructions on how to clear the plugin cache.

OK, I tried your suggestion and it appears the ability to create comments now with captcha working seems to be OK again.

so is this down to the W3 plugin? or is this a general issue associated with having cacheing on the web site?

Hi John, there are a few factors to consider. First of all W3 Total Cache is a great plugin but at the same time very challenging to set up. Many run into all sorts of issues and many times they blame the plugin. But to tell you the truth in many cases it is the user that does not know well how to set up this very powerful cache plugin. However, ones you have this plugin set up correctly it works great. The other factor to also consider can be conflicts between plugins and or themes.

So, when running into an issue like the one you describe above you first need to carry out a process of elimination. Once that is achieved then you will know what the actual issue is.

Let me know if you need more help. If your issue is resolve and you don’t need any more help, can you mark this support thread as resolved.

    Thank you

OK, Thanks, my next option is to raise the same issue on the W3 Support Forum.

and see where that leads me…???
