Captcha not working

    Hello everybody,

    My reCaptcha v3 is not working, it used to work, only recently it gives this message after submitting: “The Captcha verification failed. Please try again”.

    I have tried getting a new site- and secret key.
    I have tried using instead of v3 a reCaptcha v2 invisible.

    I did all of this in the Site Reviews Form Settings.

    It doesn’t work, it all gives the same error message.

    I deleted the cache for my site. It did not help.

    Now I have taken out the Captcha and the review gets submitted. But I do want the captcha.

    Does anybody have an idea of what is happening and/or what I can do to fix this problem?

    Hi @veronicaversteegh

    There is currently an issue with the reCAPTCHA integration in v6.2.0. I’m am trying to narrow this down so I can fix it, it is likely due to a conflict with another plugin that is using reCAPTCHA on your website. Are you using reCAPTCHA with another plugin on your website? If so, which plugin?

    I used to have a captcha on my Contact Form 7 form. But that is also gone without a trace. I think that may be because they have also got their own (what apears updated) plugin for a captcha. It did used to have one without me having to add it to the plug-in’s settings.

    I did apply one to the login screen of wp-admin, I did this through WP Security plug-in.

    Thanks for that information. I will see if it has something to do with the WP Security plugin.

    I plan to hopefully have a fix in a day or two.

    Would you please test this beta and see if it fixes the problem with reCAPTCHA on your website? These are the steps:

    1. Go to the Site Reviews plugin and make sure the “Delete data on uninstall” option is set to “Do not delete anything”

    2. Go to the Plugins page and uninstall Site Reviews

    3. Download the v6.2.1-beta1:

    https://github.com/pryley/site-reviews/releases/download/v6.2.1-beta1/site-reviews-v6.2.1-beta1.zip

    4. Go to the plugins page and click the “Add New” button at the top of the page

    5. Click the “Upload Plugin” button at the top of the page

    6. Install Site Reviews v6.2.1-beta1 from the zip file.

    You will be able to update to v6.2.1 as usual once it’s released.
